What is Cool?

Cool is staying true to who you are. Having designer shoes or bags doesn't make anyone cool. Being practical and honest with one's self, and not having the need to pretend to be someone else. The same as trying to keep up with the latest trend is a waste of money and time because almost immediately new styles come up to replace the old ones. It is also financially irresponsible keeping up with the latest trend because it often cause people to have unnecessary debt. In addition, buying big homes in order so show off isn't cool. Many people buy big homes, however, what is the purpose if they cant even take time off to enjoy their family because they have to keep working in order to pay their home. They become so busy that they don't even have time to eat dinner with their own family, which at times lead to broken families. So people need to remember there's  no need to pretend to be someone else because there is nothing cooler than staying true to who you are.

Failure to commit to my new years resolutions

As I start the new semester with optimism, I came up with a lot of resolutions and changes  I planned to execute. However, I came to realized that I was being unrealistic about the whole thing.  none of the things I said I was going to do ever happened except I was able to submit my assignments on time.

Writing: I love and hate it!

At first, I thought I was going to be a good writer but I realized it wasn't as easy as I thought it was going to be. There's so many rules you have to remember when writing. Furthermore, the pressure of writing a paper always gets frustrating to me. I worry whether my paper is good enough to get an A. I become so critical with myself that I couldn't concentrate and think of anything to write. However, I love the free writing part of writing because I can write everything that's on my mind without worrying about my grammar errors and my organizations. I am free to say whatever I want to say without any restrictions and worries that I might make a mistake or my ideas might not make sense. Free writing enables me to be myself and express my thoughts openly, that's why I love free writing.

Deadlines!

My advice to anyone who struggles meeting deadlines is to accept that you have a problem with it. Then you need to figure out the solution, come up with methods to help you stay on schedule. Make a plan and calculate how much time you need to get the task done, prioritize it. If it doesn't work, seek help from friends and family. Read materials to help you understand the purpose of this goal. Having a healthy lifestyle like eating healthy, sleeping well, and with exercise helps the mind function better and make sound decisions. If all else fails, consider seeing a therapist. In some cases, people who have these problems needs professional help, which sometimes can be tremendous to eliminate the problem.
